Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Ithaca, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Ithaca is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We were really hoping for this restaurant to be good, as it is super close to our house. We ended up coming and managing to sit down on a Saturday at 7:15 pm and we were the only clients (then joined by a few other tables). Only the owner and the chef were there. Both were incredible friendly, we put our orders in immediately. Food took a bit longer than usual, but still, we were done by 8:20, so, great. However, clearly if there had been even two more tables filled it would have been a mess. This said, the food was simply amazing. The pineapple fried rice with duck was excellent! Everything was superb and well plated. The portions were perfect -not too much, not too little- and every flavor was on point. So, main takeaway: if you get in and there’s nobody sitting down, sit down and enjoy top notch food. If there’s servers (gosh I hope the owner hires a bunch) stay. If only the owner’s around, there are more than two tables sitting down already and there’s still dirty tables, go eat somewhere else or prepare to go hungry and come back next time. Fingers crossed this place fixes their problems while keeping the food as tasty.

I went here for dinner on my own just before 6pm on a weeknight. The space is relaxed and makes good use of natural and artificial light, and traditional decor. Both hostess and server were welcoming and pleasant through the night. I was seated immediately, given menus, and offered drinks right after. Beer and wine prices are very reasonable (I went with a Singha followed by an Asahi). I ordered Pad See Mao with fake chicken at a spiciness level of 3 (they spice their food on a scale of 1 to 5, and 3 was described to me as “a kick but enjoyable”). The wait from ordering to getting my entree was 28 minutes, which was not as bad as other reviews have described but still a little long for a noodle dish. Also, while I appreciated not being constantly checked on, I had to go up to the bar to order my second beer. My Pad See Mao itself was delicious and fresh, the spice level was as promised. I really like Nounou’s as a much needed addition to Triphammer Marketplace and plan to return to try more of their menu.

This place was incredible. The restaurant itself is beautiful and brand new. The staff were very attentive and extremely nice. The food was some of the best I've ever had. Definitely the go-to Thai place in Ithaca. Looking forward to trying some of the other Lao-based food on the menu next time.

The food was excellent full of bright fresh flavours. Unfortunately we had a long wait even to receive a menu to consider and a very long wait for meals to arrive. Don't be in a hurry if you go here, I suggest early in the evening or maybe order a takeaway - that might get faster service.

Food is actually not bad, I enjoyed some of the dishes. Need to hire more waiters. Its important to make sure the customers receive the correct food order. I hope this will improve in time.
